Pale gold with a green flicker, this 2024 Mâcon-Villages Chardonnay is Burgundy in bright, clean mode. The nose is pure orchard glow: lemon curd, green apple and ripe pear, sliding into white peach, acacia blossom and a chalky, limestone-mineral crunch that keeps it sharp and classy. It’s crisp yet nicely rounded — citrus and stone fruit up front, a gentle almond-cream lees texture through the middle, and zero heavy oak baggage. Zesty acidity pulls it long and clean with a faint wet-stone, spice flicker on the finish. Fresh, polished, dangerously drinkable.

After over half a century of cultivating high-quality grapes for big name producers in the Mâcon area of Burgundy, Domaine Thevernard have finally decided to go out on their own and start producing this nectar-of-the-gods from start to finish. And we are completely stoked with their decision. Rich, robust and deeply flavoured, white flowers and fleshy stone fruit jostle for position amongst beautifully utilised French oak and enduring natural acidity. If you've never tried white Burgundy before, this is a fantastic first step - if you're a rusted-on fan, you know what to expect, and we expect you'll find it. Delicious in every way.

This chardonnay displays everything that makes white Burgundy some of the most sought-after wine on the planet - concentration, fruit purity and a generous, luxurious mouthfeel. The wonderful natural acid brings structure and freshness to this gorgeous drop and rounds out a lengthy, satisfying finish. Deeply French yet strangely familiar.
