Why do we love this case?
Well mofo, what can we say when the wine speaks for itself. Aside from being from our favourite Argentinian producers, these incredible cabernet francs are perhaps some of the most highly regarded wines we’ve ever had. Emphasis on ‘ever’.
Four single vineyard sites yield these four remarkable wines. Agrelo, Chacayes, El Cepillo, and Gualtallary showcase the literal heights that make the Argentinian wine industry unique worldwide. 930, 1100, 1300 and a soaring 1470 metres elevation above sea level are the heights of each of these vineyards, treated in exactly the same way from first day of picking to the moment they go into bottle. A dash of Malbec in each brings this wine into superb balance, a dance of tannins, fruit, acid and length that will make your head spin (and not in an alcohol induced way). The nuance in each bottle makes itself apparent from the first whiff of each delightful fragrance. Note the minerality that runs through the core of each wine, offsetting the rich blackberry and cherry notes. This is the ultimate experience of some of the world’s finest terroir, made by masters of winemaking.
