Why do we love this case?
Great value on GREAT wines! The array of the exceptional is ridiculous in this pack. We’re touching down in some of the world’s BEST wine regions. Every bottle is one of those ‘should we save this for a special night?’ kind of wines, but with this value, every night can be special.
Each pack includes ONE bottle of the following:
1x Pretty Paddock Sauvignon Blanc 2022
White — Sauvignon Blanc
New Zealand — New Zealand
Pretty Paddock by name, and a pretty paddock it’s grown in. Grab hold of this beauty. A bright, lively savvy b from NZ’s famous Marlborough region - this is best enjoyed out on the balcony in the southeast Asian sunshine, alongside your nearest and dearest. Fresh and crisp, with floral, slightly grassy aromas and a honeydew melon palate quenching with long, limey citrus flavours. A hint of gooseberry and passionfruit unfolds in the glass too. A perfect combo, right? We think you’ll agree, this is a great Marlborough savvy b.
You’d pay $45 full price.

Tasting Notes
1x Bodegas y Viñedos Merayo Mencía 2021
Red — Shiraz
Spain — Spain
This estate wine from Merayo is a small window into the power of the mencía grape, designed for enjoying now.
The wine comes from classic bush vines on the slopes and valley floor of Bierzo - with stoney clay soil bringing power that backs the aromatics of the mencía grape and cool nights for acid. It’s intense on both the nose and palate, but sitting firmly in medium-bodied territory. There is a floral note, heaps of plums, cranberries and a touch of spice. It has a long and persistent finish, hinting at the power you will find in some of their top wines.
You’d pay $80 full price.

1x Bodegas Olarra La Catedral Crianza 2020
Red — Tempranillo
Rioja — Spain
What’s better than a Rioja, mofo? They say money can’t buy happiness, but those people have clearly never had a bottle of Crianza from Bodegas Olarra. When you’re spending so little and getting so much return, you know that you’ve got the perfect mid-week drop sorted. Ripe and juicy blackberries and blueberries greet your palate, with just enough savoury spice to play a great balancing act. Finishes as smooth as silk, ready to accompany your dinner any night of the week.

1x Middle Earth Wines Pinot Gris 2021
White — Pinot Gris
Nelson — New Zealand
Fresh off the port of New Zealand, Middle Earth is one of our favourite wineries from the south island. We only ever get a limited amount because they don’t make much wine - it’s pretty exclusive. Refreshingly crisp and brimming with sweet luscious honey character, lemon, dragonfruit and quince, this is mouth-filling and textured, piercing the palate with firm acidity and minerality. This is perfect for the humid weather served super chilled; it just slips and slides. Destined to be consumed with your favourite hawker dishes, this wine will happily take the heat off your chilli crab or balance alongside the tamarind sweetness of rojak.
You’d pay $45 full price.

1x Flametree SRS Chardonnay 2021
White — Chardonnay
Margaret River — Australia
For fans of classic Margaret River chardonnay, it doesn’t get much better than this. This is the ‘reserve’ wine from Flametree, you know them as one of the best producers in the region. Chardonnay for the stars; bursting with grapefruit, lemon rind, cashew, struck match and stonefruit. Powerful, complex and long-lived to boot. And all the critics agree as well. Just read what James Suckling had to say... “A complex and fragrant nose of lemon curd, crushed thyme, grated nutmeg and fresh hay. Medium-bodied with bright, crisp acidity. Silky texture. Lingering and layered with fresh citrus and subtle nutty undertones. Delicious. Rocking acidity. Limey. Hints of vanilla. Brought up in 50% new oak. Drink or hold.”
You’d pay $90 full price.

1x Lou Miranda Estate Golden Lion Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Barossa — Australia
Join us please in welcoming back: the one, the only, Golden Lion cab sauv! If it’s not apparent, we’re excited about this one. A break since the 2017 vintage has made us yearning for more, especially as the 2021 comes under the accomplished (and charming) reigns of winemaker Angela Miranda. Barossa cabernet flies under the radar most of the time, and the Lou Miranda Golden Lion cabernet sauvignon is a case in point. There’s more body and cassis ripeness here compared to cool-climate examples, while it still delivers cabernet’s trademark structure and tannin. Definitely worth opening now to enjoy with your Sunday roast lamb - and one that can comfortably handle time in the cellar. If you can resist.
