A patch of land producing world class, full-bodied cabernet, bringing excitement to each and every glass you enjoy. This family winery have been landowners in Coonawarra for over 100 years. They are Coonawarra experts and the jewel in their crown is, of course, cabernet sauvignon. Their wines consistently score highly with critics and this 2020 cellar release is a showcase of a deep understanding of the land and masterstroke winemaking.
The blackberry fruit concentration is immense and elevated by fine, dancing tannin. It wouldn't be Coonawarra without the marriage of mint and tobacco, rounding out mouth-feel and driving complexity. This is fantastic drinking now and will age gracefully for another decade.

Hefty yet harmonious. By Bordeaux standards, this is a big wine - powerful tannin, subtle oak spice and a structure that has developed into the real backbone of this wine. A good period in the cellar has done absolute wonders for this wine, soft and silky, elegant even, despite the density of fruit. All elements of this wine are singing in perfect harmony, this could go further in the cellar for sure, but we think it's sitting in a really special spot right now. You can't rush perfection, that's true, but don't let it pass you by either...

One of our go-to Margaret River producers has come up with the goods again! We love everything they do with cabernet and are always yearning for more. This one is from the strong 2020 vintage and boasts a big 95 points from Halliday. It’s super smooth, stylishly elegant and quite lifted on the nose with aromas of cherries and plums. Like all good Margs cab, it also has those herbal and spicy elements interlaced throughout. As things went so well in the vineyard in 2020, the need wasn’t there to drown the wine in oak. It’s there, but it’s quite subtle. The fruit speaks for itself and it is oh so eloquent.

Vibrant blackcurrant and oak have come together, tannins mellowed and earthy, secondary elements emerged. Unless you have a cellar full of aged wine, this is possibly the best chance to pick up some absolutely stunning aged cab for a stupidly good price.
