Why do we love this wine?
You probably know our friends at Lou Miranda by now. They delve into the rich, inky, oak powered Barossa reds that we love so dearly. But did you know that they’re a family owned and operated winery? Even more impressive when you know that all of their wines come from estate owned vineyards, some of which are over 100 years of age.
You might think that the Master Piero is named after legacies of generations past, but it is in fact named after the youngest of the Miranda family, the fourth generation. An homage to the lineage of the family, the pride and joy- meet the master. From the Rowland Flat vineyard, where sun exposure and rocky soils help ripen the grapes to the extra degree, this wine is all about the knockout punch. Licorice, blood plums, black cherries mixed with lavender and violets rise to crescendo on the palate, with an elegant structure lingering harmoniously on the finish. Get ready for the best Barossa shiraz you’ve ever had touch your lips.
