Why do we love this whisky?
This limited-edition Gold Caged XV Bottle, designed by Cult Grillz Artist Dolly Cohen, might be dressed to the nines, but don't let that distract you from the golden liquid inside. It is a luxuriously delicious dram thanks to its meticulous cask selection, which includes whiskies finished in Grande Champagne Cognac casks. This treatment really accentuates the vibrant fruit notes and brings the rich oak to the forefront. Stewed red apples, orange marmalade and aromas of sultanas and peaches on the nose lead into the wonderfully fruity and incredibly smooth, velvety palate of poached pears, caraway spice, butterscotch and caramel toffee. Finished with lashings of vanilla and yet more spiced pear.
