Why do we love this case?
Here, we bring you the best of the best. These are the wines that our producers have loved so dearly that they've kept a few behind at the cellar for their future selves (and, some lucky customers who might get the winemakers on a good day). We've had to do some really sweet talking, a little bit of begging, and a lot of string-pulling to curate this case. Presenting: the inaugural Aged. Reds. Selection. It feels good to say it, and even better to drink it.
1x Cape Barren The Vale Shiraz 2019
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Barossa
Bursting with a complex and fruity palate that flows into a spectacular and warm finish, this shiraz is, hand-on-heart, one of the most impressive and iconic drops to make its way out of the Vale. Honestly, this deal is so unbelievably good that it's hard not to give you a peak behind the curtain. We can say this though - it's one of the best offers of the year. It's a shiraz that's smooth and toasty yet oh so complex with an intensity that will push your eyebrows to your hairline for all the right reasons.

1x Schild Estate Edel Shiraz 2019
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Barossa
You know when something seems too good to be true? That's what we thought of this wine before we got stuck in. I mean, a revered Barossa producer, with a premium, wax-dipped shiraz that received a glowing 95pt Halliday review that we could sell for... how much? Sure enough, when it hit the tasting bench, it surpassed all expectations by miles. This isn't just any wine of high calibre, this is an awe-inspiring Barossa shiraz. Given this winery is all about their heritage estate vineyards, I guess we should never have been surprised at how good this could get.
You’d pay $195 full price.

1x Parous Stonehouse Shiraz 2019
Red — Shiraz
McLaren Vale — Barossa
There's nothing you won't adore about this beauty. All the juicy, chocolate notes of McLaren Vale shiraz, with a bit of rum n' raisin spiciness bringing some real game. An old school style from a mordern McLaren Vale winemaker.
Made by the grape master Matt Head (who you might also know from the cult favourite Big Easy Radio) whose creative and level-headed approach to life results in wines with spirit and soul. This parcel has been safeguarded under the Parous label, just waiting for its time and loving home to go to. It must be your lucky day mofo, because they've found it with you. It's powerful, but not overwhelming; the perfect choice to keep you entertained from weeknights to the weekend.

1x Geoff Merrill Pimpala Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Barossa
Geoff Merrill is a man of many talents. Lucky for us (and you), making absolutely phenomenal wines is one of them. Geoff creates his wines with an eye on the future, everything is held back and carefully tracked until it's in its optimum drinking window. This is what a wine in the optimum drinking window looks like. Full of oomph and bravado, this strapping back-vintage cab is not for the faint of heart. Packed with succulent, ripe berry fruits, charry and vanillin oak and leather – this is not one to pull the bat away from big, bold flavours. Marked by a toasty oak profile, there's a whack of tobacco, clove and freshly roasted coffee perfuming the nose and palate. This is quite the wine to impress.

1x Reschke Bos Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Barossa
Yep, believe what you're seeing. This is the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. The needle in the haystack. The one you've been searching for. The perfect drop. It is quite a joyful moment when we get our hands on aged cabernet, from a top producer in the world-famous Coonawarra region. What better wine to show with some age than a cabernet, after all? Vibrant blackcurrant and oak have come together, tannins mellowed and earthy, secondary elements emerged. Unless you have a cellar full of aged wine, this is possibly the best chance to pick up some absolutely stunning aged cab for a stupidly good price.
You’d pay $60 full price.

Tasting Notes
1x Patrick of Coonawarra Home Block Cabernet Sauvignon 2019
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Barossa
Patrick of Coonawarra, you've done it again... From pretty much the best cabernet vintage Coonawarra has ever seen, we've been handed a gift, and it just keeps giving and giving and giving... Ask anyone, serious Coonawarra cabernet like this is hard to get your hands on. What you won’t find in this wine, is that peppermint choc-chip ice-cream flavour. Rather, you’d find a subtle, smooth cedar, tobacco and dark chocolate characters with fine elegant tannins that effortlessly slide down the throat. Even the most staunch lover of shiraz will agree that there’s no better red wine match with slow cooked lamb than aged Cabernet and one can only imagine how good this will be after an hour in the decanter. This one's half a decade old, but it's still looking youthful, a positive sign for a decade or more still to come.
You’d pay $55 full price.
