Don't worry, try one of these

Why do we love this case?

That’s not to say they’re short on quality or complexity – far from it! But to sit there alone while pondering these would be missing the point. They’re built for fun, for fabulous feeds with friends, for big belly-laughs in the best of company. And wherever these wines are, fun times are never far. Cheers to that, mofo!

1x Reschke Bull Trader Sauvignon Blanc 2021

White — Sauvignon Blanc

Coonawarra — Australia

Coonawarra sauv blanc? Is that a thing? Turns out it is and it should be. Coonawarra is technically a cool climate region, allowing for slower ripening and development of flavour. That’s pretty damn perfect for sauv blanc. This is super fragrant with lemon, lime and white peach. There’s passionfruit and nectarine on the palate with a bit of texture and crisp acidity to finish. It’s savvy bee through and through, just from an unexpected place. And if you still aren’t convinced, perhaps that 96 point score from Winestate will seal the deal.

You'd pay $45 full price.

1x Kilikanoon Golden Hillside Riesling 2021

White — Riesling

Clare Valley — Australia

Another year and another glorious vintage of one or our absolute favourites. We are still wondering if this “Golden Hillside” is an actual place, or a mythical place of the gods. The riesling from the Hillside is nothing short of heavenly, and the price suggests some sort of divine intervention. Plus, however high the vineyards of Clare Valley can get, surely those planted on celestial slopes are more so. How else would you get such an otherworldly balance of drool-worthy lime and sunshine-soaked lemons, refreshing minerality and cloudlike complexity? The bottle definitely says Clare Valley though.

You'd pay $45 full price.

1x Holdaway Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2022

White — Sauvignon Blanc

Marlborough — New Zealand

The Holdaway family has tended to its land in Marlborough since 1864, focussing in modern times on sustainability and biodiversity. This vintage, like every vintage before it, is classic sauv blanc. Refreshing and elegant, exhibiting bright acidty, nice fruit weight and subtle minerality. You find citrus in the form of grapefruit and mandarin, along with passionfruit, nettles and bell pepper. A nice little number out of Marlborough with a bit more going on than the usual savvy b.

You'd pay $40 full price.

1x Brokenwood Soil Selection Chardonnay 2022

White — Chardonnay

Hunter Valley — Australia

Trust us. When you collect your wine, and you open the box and pull this little number out, your eyes will light up and a wry smile will take over. This producer has been at the top of their game for so long now, and for good reason. Hunter chardonnay has such character and individuality which just adds to the utter versatility that is Aussie chardy. In its youth, enjoy crisp citrus and fleshy melon notes perfect for a warm arvo but in years to come, a developed nuttiness will reveal itself and a richness over the palate. Drink now or drink later? The choice is yours…

You'd pay $70 full price.

Frequently Asked Questions

This collection is specifically curated for social occasions rather than solitary contemplation. The diverse range of varietals from Sauvignon Blanc to Chardonnay ensures there's something to complement every dish and palate preference at your gathering. With ratings reaching 96 points, these wines deliver serious quality while maintaining the approachable, fun-loving character that keeps conversations flowing and guests engaged throughout the evening.

The collection's diverse flavour profiles create excellent food pairing opportunities across the spectrum. Crisp Sauvignon Blancs with their gooseberry and citrus notes excel with seafood and fresh salads, while the mineral-driven Riesling pairs beautifully with spicy Asian cuisine. The Pinot Gris offerings bridge the gap with their melon and pear characteristics, perfect for poultry dishes, and the Chardonnay's hazelnut complexity makes it ideal for creamy pasta or roasted chicken.

This multi-regional approach showcases how different terroirs express the same varietals in unique ways, creating a fascinating tasting journey. You'll experience how Australian soil brings out different mineral characteristics compared to New Zealand's cooler climate expressions. This diversity allows you to explore regional winemaking philosophies and discover how geography influences everything from acidity levels to aromatic intensity, making each bottle a lesson in terroir.

These wines are crafted for immediate enjoyment and social consumption, aligning with their fun-focused philosophy. Most white wines in this style category, particularly the Sauvignon Blancs and Pinot Gris, are designed to showcase fresh, vibrant fruit characteristics that are best appreciated within 2-3 years of vintage. The Chardonnay and Riesling may develop additional complexity over a few years, but the collection's strength lies in its ready-to-drink appeal for spontaneous gatherings.

With scores reaching 96 points from respected critics like Winestate Magazine and consistent five-star ratings across multiple publications, this collection punches well above its weight class. These ratings typically indicate wines that would command premium prices individually, yet the mixed case format delivers exceptional value. The recognition from diverse critics including Sam Kim, Michael Cooper, and Wine Orbit demonstrates consistent quality across different winemaking styles and regional expressions.
