Museum releases indicate these wines have been carefully cellared and aged beyond their typical release timeframe, allowing them to develop tertiary flavours and soften their tannins. The 2015 Barolo and 2016 Barbaresco are now at optimal drinking windows where their initial fruit intensity has evolved into more complex notes of leather, earth, and dried flowers. Both wines are made from 100% Nebbiolo but come from different DOCG zones in Piedmont with distinct characteristics.
