Why do we love this case?
This Bordeaux native is equally capable of brilliance in a blend or all on its own. This pack offers you a selection of three Australian cabernets, there’s something unique about each one and each offers its own journey of discovery. Bow down to the King!
1x Atticus Grand Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Margaret River — Australia
There's an old saying in the wine industry: Margaret River producers 20% of Australia's wine but picks up 80% of Australia's wine awards. Premium wines like this demonstrate what all the hype is about. This wine is Margaret River through and through, medium-to-full-bodied, hyper-elegant, bursting with cassis/blackcurrant, plush tannins and a pillowy, lenghty finish that'll have you still tasting this on your tongue with your breaky the next morning. Mullets, Kylie Minogue, Errol Flynn, Margaret River cabernets: Australia's greatest exports?

1x Devitt & Moore William Pile Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
BIG and bold, this Coonawarra cabernet pulls no punches in expressing what it is — lush blackberry, dark cherry and plum intermingle with a rich palate built on layers of cocoa and vanilla. The famed red soil, or terra rossa soil, of Coonawarra only makes up a stretch 20km long and 2km wide but it is the kind of stuff that wine lovers geek out about. A patch of land producing world class, full-bodied cabernet, bringing excitement to each and every glass you enjoy. What's best is that these are wines built for the long haul, have a case tucked away and you'll have first-rate wine at your disposal whenever those terra rossa soils come calling.
You’d pay $100 full price.

1x Reschke Cellar Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
This family winery have been landowners in Coonawarra for over 100 years. They are Coonawarra experts and the jewel in their crown is, of course, cabernet sauvignon. Their wines consistently score highly with critics and this 2020 cellar release is a showcase of a deep understanding of the land and masterstroke winemaking.
The blackberry fruit concentration is immense and elevated by fine, dancing tannin. It wouldn't be Coonawarra without the marriage of mint and tobacco, rounding out mouth-feel and driving complexity. This is fantastic drinking now and will age gracefully for another decade.
You’d pay $90 full price.

1x Stonehaven Wines Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
Deep, brooding cabernet that flaunts the varietals reputation for medium-plus body. Soft and supple but still boasting broad palate weight that fills the mouth, arrests the gums, and lives on long after its been swallowed. James Halliday called this wine "seriously good cabernet," and, in his brevity, he sums it up perfectly; this bests every mark for classic Coonawarra cab - seriously good indeed.

Tasting Notes
1x Magarey Lane Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2021
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
Cassis and red currant right up front. Tannins grip the gums and arrest the mouth before some round, smooth oak work offers relief. This is a prime example of Coonawarra's reliability in delivering regional and varietal typicity: fresh red and black fruits into more briary, developed, darker fruit tones, followed by coffee, chocolate, cedar, and fruit-leather. This is a drink-some-hold-some wine, it's looking brilliant right now, but we can't help but wonder what excellence a few years in the cellar may bring...
You’d pay $80 full price.

1x School House Headmaster Cabernet Sauvignon 2020
Red — Cabernet Sauvignon
Coonawarra — Australia
We know that Coonawarra cabernet is sincerely age-able. That’s just part and parcel of this region’s charm. This School House cab shows the best of what the famed red clay has to offer, as it walks the tightrope between power and elegance with perfect poise. There are ripe dark fruits of plum and cassis, wrapped up in fine tannins and complimented by notes of toasty oak. It is intense, but also wonderfully balanced. We don’t need to say much more, because this is one wine that does most of the talking.
You’d pay $60 full price.
