Why do we love this case?

These are wines that truly show why pinot noir is the most important grape there is. We've selected them for the simple fact that they show just how desirable this variety can be. Complex and intriguing, vibrant and juicy, intense and focused. This is a selection that shows off the flashiness of the varietal while also displaying how perfumed, poised, and precise it can be. This is absolute pinot indulgence.

1x Wild Earth Earth & Sky Pinot Noir 2021

Red — Pinot Noir

Central Otago — New Zealand

Wild Earth are a solid mofo favourite and absolute darlings of the wine press, too. Central Otago pinot noir are world-class, and really don’t get any better (or more trophies and awards) than this. Crafting exceptional wines year after year, we find it such a pleasure to taste every new vintage. The 2021’s are fantastic. From a ripping Bannockburn vineyard in Central Otago, ‘Earth & Sky’ has everything: elegance, grace, poise, and power. There is a seductive bouquet of black fruits on the nose, with a touch of the tertiary mushroom complexity. Expect dark cherry, plum and thyme on the plate, this has it all in check, composed and confident. Whether you’re looking to impress your lover, or hide a few bottles away - this is the pinot for the job.

You'd pay $110 full price.

1x Principia Pinot Noir 2019

Red — Pinot Noir

Mornington Peninsula — Australia

Principia are, in every sense of the word, a Mornington Peninsula Icon - not just for the great wines they have produced, but for their ability to do it every vintage, whatever the conditions may be. This is more pure excellence from one of the great pinot noir regions of the world. A fresh burst of near-confectionary raspberry leads riper, richer strawberries. It is completely classic Mornington Peninsula pinot noir; elegant spice and juicy palate weight framed by fine grain tannin and spiky acidity. Literally mouthwatering.

You'd pay $97 full price.

1x Kutch Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2019

Red — Pinot Noir

Sonoma County — America

Here we have incredible Sonoma Coast pinot noir, with a much lower price-tag than its haughty cousins, the Falstaff and the McDougal Ranch. It’s made in much the same way, and the quality is there in spades. Jamie Kutch achieves an almost indescribable elegance in all his wines. He’s a tiny producer – a one-man winery who left his job in finance to pursue his dream of making wine in California. You won’t find these anywhere else in Singapore, giving you full bragging rights to your mates about supporting up-and-coming superstars of the scene before anyone else. And you can be sure nobody else is bringing this to the same dinner party.

Jamie believes in minimal intervention in the winery, giving you maximum expression of terroir. You’ve seen what the Old World has to offer, no doubt. Now see what happens when California drops the bravado and bares its very soul.

You'd pay $120 full price.

Frequently Asked Questions

This collection spans different regions and vintages, demonstrating pinot noir's remarkable ability to express terroir while maintaining its signature elegance. The variety's thin skin and sensitivity to climate means each wine reflects its unique origin - from Sonoma Coast's cool maritime influence to different soil compositions. Together, they illustrate why pinot noir is considered the most transparent grape variety, capable of producing everything from bright, cherry-driven wines to complex, earthy expressions with savoury undertones.

The 2019 and 2021 vintages represent distinct growing conditions that highlight pinot noir's vintage sensitivity. 2019 was generally a cooler, longer growing season that produced wines with excellent structure and aging potential, while 2021 faced unique climate challenges that often resulted in more concentrated, intense fruit flavours. This vintage diversity allows you to experience how the same grape variety responds to different seasonal conditions, showcasing pinot noir's ability to reflect its year of birth.

The diverse flavour profiles in this trio - from cherry and strawberry to cedar and dark chocolate - make them incredibly food-friendly across multiple courses. The lighter, fruit-forward expressions pair beautifully with duck breast, salmon, or mushroom risotto, while the more structured wines complement lamb, aged cheeses, or game birds. The savoury and spice elements make them particularly suited to dishes with herbs like thyme or rosemary, and the natural acidity cuts through rich, creamy sauces.

Serve these pinot noirs slightly cooler than typical reds, around 14-16°C, to preserve their delicate aromatics and prevent the alcohol from overwhelming the subtle flavours. Decanting isn't necessary but allowing them to breathe in the glass for 15-20 minutes will help the complex aromatics - rose petal, spice, and earthy notes - fully develop. Use larger bowled glasses to concentrate the perfumed qualities that make pinot noir so distinctive, and consider tasting them in sequence from lightest to most intense.

The exceptional scores, including 98 points from Winestate and recognition from Master of Wine critics, indicate these are benchmark examples of pinot noir craftsmanship. These ratings from respected critics like Bob Campbell MW and Cameron Douglas MS reflect not just immediate drinking pleasure, but wines with the complexity and balance for cellar aging. The gold medals from international competitions further validate the technical excellence and typicity of these wines, suggesting they represent outstanding value within the premium pinot noir category.
