1x Mas de Cadenet Côtes de Provence Sainte Victoire Rosé 2022

Rosé

Provence — France

A powerful little wine. Zippy, zingy - palate weight aplenty but no shortage of peppy acidity. There is some confected strawberries and cream, but it never veers into fruit-lolly unctuousness. The wine is focused and precise throughout. Mas de Cadenet has an international reputation for elite rosé, and when you tuck into this you'll know why.

You'd pay $75 full price.

1x Nuit Blanche Côtes de Provence Rosé 2022

Rosé

Provence — France

Translating to 'sleepless night', the Nuit Blanche rosé gets its name from the sleepless workers who harvest the fruit for this delicate beauty in the cool of the moonlight- helping to retain all of its vibrant charm. Just have a look at some reviews of this wine, and you'll note that it's almost illegal not to drink this on a balcony with the sun shining down on you. If you don't have a balcony, get yourself down to a park, or at least crack the window- it's all part of the charm.

You'd pay $70 full price.

1x L'Échappée Belle Côtes de Provence Rosé 2022

Rosé

Provence — France

Completely elite. This wine has so much to offer. The fruit complexity alone makes it one of those wine sthat you'll be so busy smelling you forget to take a sip (almost). Terracotta and salmon with tinges of orange, it's a delight just to look at. The freshness and exuberance speaks so pointedly of bright red fruit - the wine is vibrant and lively on the palate. The acid is lifted and driving but never overbearing, and all that freshness is met with juicy, pithy palate weight. Not a drop out of place. No notes: perfect rosé.

You'd pay $70 full price.

Frequently Asked Questions

Provence rosé is crafted using the saignée method, where red grape juice has brief contact with skins before being bled off, creating the signature pale salmon colour. The Mediterranean climate with its dry, warm summers and cooling Mistral winds allows for slow, even ripening that preserves natural acidity while developing complex aromatics. This region's limestone-rich soils and traditional winemaking techniques produce rosés with exceptional minerality and finesse that set them apart from the often sweeter, darker rosés found elsewhere.

The 2022 vintage benefited from ideal growing conditions in Provence, with a warm, dry summer that concentrated flavours while maintaining the crisp acidity essential for quality rosé. These wines showcase the vintage's characteristic brightness and vivid fruit expression, earning recognition as a 'Killer Vintage' with strong 4.1 Vivino ratings. The balanced weather patterns allowed each producer in this trio to capture their terroir's unique expression while maintaining the elegant, food-friendly style Provence is renowned for.

The crisp, dry profile and delicate flavours of musk, raspberry, and rose petal make these rosés incredibly versatile with Mediterranean cuisine. They excel with seafood dishes like grilled prawns, bouillabaisse, or seared scallops, where the wine's minerality complements oceanic flavours. The strawberry and citrus notes also pair beautifully with fresh goat cheese salads, herb-crusted lamb, or even spicy Asian cuisine where the wine's refreshing acidity can balance heat and rich flavours.

Serve these rosés well-chilled at 8-10°C to showcase their crisp, refreshing character and delicate aromatics. Store bottles on their side in a cool, dark place away from temperature fluctuations, as rosé is particularly sensitive to light and heat which can diminish its vibrant colour and fresh fruit flavours. While these 2022 vintages are designed for immediate enjoyment, they can maintain their quality for 2-3 years when properly stored, though their peak drinking window is within the first 18 months.

Each producer brings their unique interpretation of Côtes de Provence terroir to this collection. Mas de Cadenet from Sainte Victoire benefits from the cooling influence of the iconic mountain, producing wines with exceptional minerality and structure. The trio represents different vineyard sites and winemaking philosophies within Provence, allowing you to explore how factors like elevation, soil composition, and harvest timing influence the final wine's character while maintaining the region's signature elegance and refinement.
