The Onkaparinga shiraz is a benchmark expression from Clarendon Hills - a Grand Cru-classified site in Blewitt Springs that consistently delivers one of the most profound shiraz releases in the country. With vines planted in 1946, rooted in deep sandy soils over ironstone, shale, and quartz, this vineyard has pedigree in spades - in the past even contributing fruit to Penfolds Grange. This is the good stuff.

Why do we love this wine?
This is a wine that captures the very essence of site and season. From the first swirl, it booms out of the glass with an enveloping scent of blue and purple florals, crème de violette, and pristine dark fruit. Boysenberry, blueberry, blackberry pastille, and wild raspberry weave together with layers of clove, pepper, and warm spice. The palate is all about texture - silken, flowing, yet firmly structured. Superfine tannins glide across the tongue, carrying waves of fruit and spice into a finish that lingers with both power and grace. Soulful, elegant, and effortlessly generous, this is a shiraz that rivals the world’s very best.
