Truly some of the world's most highly sought-after Amarone. Pouring a glass of this 2013 release reveals the sheer magic of the traditional appassimento method. You'll immediately notice intense waves of baked cherry, dark cocoa and roasted almonds lifting from the glass. Because the grapes are left to dry on bamboo racks for months before pressing, it's decadently rich and intensely layered. It wraps the palate in luxurious flavours of dried fig, cinnamon and sweet spices, all perfectly balanced by a bright streak of acidity that carries through to an endlessly long, majestic finish.

Why do we love this wine?
Masi is an undisputed giant of Venetian winemaking, but this specific bottle represents their crowning achievement. The Campolongo di Torbe vineyard is a historic cru that's been famous for its exceptional quality since the twelfth century. Perched high up in the classic Valpolicella zone, these terraced vines dig deep into ancient volcanic and limestone soils while soaking up the afternoon sun. This highly specific microclimate produces grapes of astonishing concentration, allowing the Boscaini family to craft a profoundly elegant red that captures the very soul of the region.
