We are incredibly lucky to get our hands on some of this stunning 2019 Grenache, a wine that completely redefines regional expression. As soon as you pour a glass, you'll be captivated by bright, soaring aromatics of wild raspberry, crushed red cherry and a dash of white pepper. It's wonderfully vibrant and beautifully medium-bodied on the palate. You will discover generous layers of juicy red fruit and subtle baking spices seamlessly woven together by fine, sandy tannins, all driving a remarkably long and mouth-watering finish.

Why do we love this wine?
Wirra Wirra has been an iconic fixture in McLaren Vale since the late nineteenth century. The estate was originally founded by an eccentric local who quite literally absconded from city life to build a winery, inspiring the name of this very bottle. Today, the winemaking team is globally celebrated for their uncompromising dedication to showcasing the absolute best of the region. The fruit for this specific cuvée is exclusively sourced from prized, ancient bush vines. These gnarly old vines have spent decades digging their roots deep into the diverse local soils, naturally restricting their own yields to produce intensely concentrated clusters. Benefiting from the cooling maritime breezes that roll in off the nearby Gulf St Vincent, the grapes are able to ripen slowly and evenly. This vital coastal influence ensures the wine retains brilliant natural acidity, capturing a thrilling snapshot of premium, unadulterated terroir.
