Why do we love this wine?

Completely elite. This wine has so much to offer. The fruit complexity alone makes it one of those wine sthat you'll be so busy smelling you forget to take a sip (almost). Terracotta and salmon with tinges of orange, it's a delight just to look at. The freshness and exuberance speaks so pointedly of bright red fruit - the wine is vibrant and lively on the palate. The acid is lifted and driving but never overbearing, and all that freshness is met with juicy, pithy palate weight. Not a drop out of place. No notes: perfect rosé.

Frequently Asked Questions

This Côtes de Provence rosé showcases the classic Provençal style that has become the global benchmark for premium rosé production. The terracotta and salmon hues with orange tinges reflect the traditional saignée method used in this region, where the juice has minimal skin contact to achieve these elegant pale colours. Unlike many commercial rosés that can be simple or sweet, this wine demonstrates the complexity and sophistication that Provence is renowned for, with its perfect balance of freshness and palate weight.

Serve this rosé well-chilled at 8-10°C to highlight its vibrant acidity and fresh fruit character. As a 2022 vintage, it's at its peak drinking window now and should be consumed within the next 1-2 years to enjoy its youthful exuberance and bright red fruit flavours. Store bottles on their side in a cool, dark place away from temperature fluctuations, though unlike red wines, this rosé doesn't benefit from extended ageing and is designed to be enjoyed for its immediate freshness.

The wine's lifted acidity and citrus-strawberry notes make it incredibly food-friendly, particularly with Mediterranean cuisine that echoes its Provençal origins. Try it with grilled seafood, goat cheese salads, or charcuterie where the wine's juicy palate weight won't be overwhelmed. The rose petal aromatics and crisp, dry style also complement spiced dishes like bouillabaisse or even light Asian fusion cuisine, while the bright acidity cuts through richer foods like salmon or creamy pasta dishes.

Côtes de Provence benefits from a unique combination of Mediterranean climate, limestone-rich soils, and centuries of rosé-making expertise that creates ideal conditions for premium pink wine production. The region's warm days and cool nights preserve the fresh acidity while developing complex fruit flavours, evident in this wine's vibrant yet sophisticated character. The appellation's strict quality controls and traditional winemaking methods, combined with grape varieties like Grenache and Cinsault that thrive in this terroir, have established Provence as the world's rosé capital.

Light-bodied doesn't mean lacking in flavour - rather, it describes the wine's elegant, refreshing mouthfeel that won't overwhelm your palate. This rosé achieves what's called 'juicy, pithy palate weight', meaning it has enough substance to be satisfying while maintaining the delicate, crisp character that makes rosé so appealing. The light body allows the bright red fruit flavours and lifted acidity to shine through clearly, making it perfect for warm weather drinking or as an aperitif where you want complexity without heaviness.
