Why do we love this wine?

Classically pale salmon in colour, it dazzles in the glass. No need to just eat with your eyes, the palate not only delivers on the promise of the aesthetic, but bests it. Sour cherry, strawberry and a hint of herbaceous character: this is utterly enticing at every turn - seriously delicious juice.

Wine Pilot

Wine Pilot

Sourced from a single site in the King Valley. A delicate pink pearl hue in the glass. The wine begins and ends with summer berries of wild strawberries, cranberry and fig. Slotted between are pink lady apple skin, crab apple blossom and mangosteen. It is a delightful juicy wine with a strawberry flesh middle palate and long, dry and chiselled finish. A delicate, elegant and fruitful Rosé that focuses on purity of fruit. A wine that would look stunning beside pink snapper sashimi, white soy and finger lime. A real celebration of the Alpines.

It's delicately expressed on the nose with raspberry, apricot, citrus peel and white floral nuances, leading to a finely flowing palate that's juicy and cheerful. Light yet flavoursome with a lengthy refreshing finish. At its best: now to 2026

"If I got this wine in a blind tasting I'd be hard pressed not to call it French - specifically Provence - Rosé."

Frequently Asked Questions

This Twin Valleys Rosé showcases the classic pale salmon hue that signals quality winemaking, but it's the herbaceous character alongside the fruit that sets it apart. The combination of sour cherry and strawberry with savoury notes creates complexity rarely found in entry-level rosés. Its crisp, dry style makes it more food-friendly than sweeter alternatives, while the King Valley's cool climate contributes to the wine's refreshing acidity and elegant structure.

King Valley's elevation and cool climate create perfect conditions for rosé production, allowing grapes to retain natural acidity while developing complex flavours slowly. The region's temperature variations between day and night help preserve the delicate fruit characters while preventing over-ripeness. This climate influence is evident in the wine's balanced profile, where the strawberry and raspberry notes remain vibrant rather than jammy, contributing to its award-winning quality.

Serve this rosé well-chilled at 8-10°C to highlight its crisp, refreshing character and enhance the delicate fruit aromatics. The herbaceous notes and savoury elements make it exceptionally versatile with food - try it with Mediterranean dishes, grilled seafood, or charcuterie where the wine's complexity can complement rather than compete. Its light body and dry finish also make it perfect as an aperitif or with lighter Asian cuisines.

The consistent high scores from different critics, including 93 points from Wine Orbit and Wine Pilot, indicate exceptional quality across multiple evaluation criteria. These ratings reflect not just the wine's immediate appeal, but its technical excellence in areas like balance, complexity, and typicity. The Gold Medal from Wine Showcase Magazine further validates its standing among premium rosés, suggesting this represents outstanding value for a wine of this calibre.

This 2023 rosé is at its peak drinking window right now, designed to showcase fresh, vibrant fruit characters that are best enjoyed young. While quality rosés can develop interesting secondary characters over 2-3 years, the appeal of this wine lies in its immediate freshness and crisp acidity. The sour cherry and strawberry notes will be most pronounced within the next 12-18 months, making now the ideal time to experience what earned it those impressive ratings.
