Why do we love this wine?
Winemaker Steve Baraglia is a walking Clare Valley legend, and we’re pretty sure riesling runs in his blood. Seriously. Any given vintage, Steve is responsible for making a lot more of the region’s wines than he’ll probably tell you, and it’s all bloody epic. But this one. This is the one. DJ, play ‘Hallelujah’, because we’ve just found the ultimate of ultimate rieslings. We hardly have words to say, we’re too busy drinking glass after glass (it’s always riesling o’clock in the Mofo office). Get in before word spreads, because this is the new hottest riesling in town.

From Sevenhill, this has a very attractive lime and lemon core with hints of white nectarine, too. The palate is so concentrated and powerful, very intense and long. Acidity is a highlight. Drink or hold.

Huon Hooke
The colour is pale and the dominant aromas are of freshly-picked green garden herbs; it smacks of early-harvested grapes. Suggestions of chamomile and lavender. The wine is both delicate and intense in the mouth, finely trimmed and taut, light-bodied and refined, with good length and tension, finishing classically dry
